"Our past gives us a rich heritage, but we are convinced
How it all started...
Our church began in the form of a Sunday School class that met in a home starting in September of 1956. Hosted by Leonard and Anne Ammons, this group organized as a church on November 14, 1956. Reverend Frank Bohler was the founding pastor. Services were held in several locations throughout the next few years including Warner Robins City Hall and Miller Hills Elementary School. Our current location was purchased and the original chapel completed construction in September of 1959.
Under the faithful leadership of Rev. George McRae and then Rev. Paul Barnes, the church property experienced numerous upgrades, renovations, and additions. Rev. Earl Rowan served from 1975 until 1981. During this time, the church grew and was active in the ministry of the Georgia district.
Rev. Gene Wiseman came to pastor in 1981. As was true since the first days, the church continued to grow and more improvements were made on our campus including another remodel to the church sanctuary. Under his leadership the land was purchased for our family life center and these plans were brought to completion by Rev. David Miller. The newest addition was completed in 1996 and was dedicated as the Family Life Center in honor of our founding pastor Rev. Frank Bohler.
Our current pastor Rev. Jeremy Pass came to lead us in 2015. Jeremy and his wife Christen are a powerful pastoral family and lead us well! It was under Jeremy's leadership that the church changed names from Warner Robins First to Reach Church of the Nazarene in an effort to bear a name that fits our identity as a people.
